National Principals Month: LauraMae Zeringue

To celebrate National Principals Month, we’ve been sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. For our final principal spotlight of the month, you’ll learn more about Ms. LauraMae Zeringue, principal of W.S. Lafargue Elementary School.

Here’s the inside scoop on Ms. Zeringue:

🐯 She’s been a principal for almost three months.
🐯 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is seeing the smiles on both the students’ and staff’s faces throughout the day. The excitement that both the students and staff feel when they see the students accomplish so much is so rewarding!
🐯 Her favorite subject was math because of the challenge of finding the answer.
🐯 Her favorite school lunch is fish and cheese.
🐯 Traveling to Europe and skydiving are on her bucket list.
🐯 Outside of work, she is a HUGE family person. Her godsons (Brent, Gerard, and Julius) and goddaughter (Rose) mean the world to her. They are always planning activities and events to do on the weekend, such as game nights, BBQ, or traveling. She also loves to run.
🐯 Fun Fact: Growing up, she was the child who cried to go to school. She also lived in Florida when she was younger, and she runs every morning at 4 a.m.
